Education
Documents relating to pupils, such as correspondence between the
school and parents, behavioural records and information on the
child’s education from the local authority, need to be kept for 7
years after the child has left – and many public schools are
interpreting this to mean 7 years after the child has turned 18.
That means schools hold an enormous amount of sensitive, personal
information which needs to be stored securely. In addition,
teaching materials, exams and documents pertaining to the
administration of the school all use up valuable resources and
space.
Invu enables all information relating to a pupil to be filed in
one place and accessed by various means: for example using a Unique
Pupil Number (UPN); by name; or by date of birth. It significantly
reduces administration costs and the time spent looking for
information, as well as freeing up space and protecting paper
records from loss, damage or destruction. Audit logs can be kept on
all documents to aid inspections, and access restricted to only
authorised members of staff. What’s more, Series 6 links seamlessly
with other systems such as SIMS for an intuitive, easy to use
filing system which requires very little training to navigate.
Invu’s Digital Document Management is in a class of its
own.
