Taking data from paper with accuracy enables you to streamline previously laborious tasks. Invu allows you to do this on two levels:
With Invu Capture you have immense power and almost limitless flexibility to extract data from any kind of document, often as a precursor to wider, more in-depth automation. This is generally used where high volumes of documents are processed.
Invu Interactive Zonal OCR/Barcode Capture is perfect for lower volumes. Set up is straightforward. Simple drag and drop options enable you to simply identify the field to be extracted, whether it is data or barcode. Once you have a template for a document type (say, an invoice from your main supplier) then when you scan in a new instance the data is extracted and available against the copy held securely within the document repository.
However, we know that paper documents can be less than pristine so when the document is scanned you’ll also be given an indication of confidence. Was that invoice number clear? Is that reference S0008 or 5OOOB? You’ll be given the option to confirm as you process so you’ll know that your data is accurate.
